Master the fundamentals of puzzle games
Puzzle games have two basic types. Understanding their characteristics and controls will help you play efficiently.
Classic type where you swap adjacent gems to line up 3+ in a row
Pick & match type where you select 3 identical items from scattered pieces
Choose from 3 difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard)
Automatically records and displays play records and performance
Optimized for smartphone, tablet, and PC
Fundamental techniques for efficient play
Look at the entire board, not just one section, to find possible matches
Special gems created from 4+ matches are major sources of points
In Match-3, clearing from bottom often creates cascades from falling gems
In Match Factory, check goals and prioritize collecting needed items
When there's no time limit, think carefully about optimal moves
When stuck, use hints to gain new perspectives
A: In Match-3, 3+ gems must line up straight. Diagonal or L-shapes won't clear.
A: Combinations that don't create matches won't swap. Look for matching combinations.
